TPC brings over 120 years of experience across private equity, venture capital, banking, private credit and operations. Our unique combination of expertise makes us an excellent partner for management teams in the lower middle market. With our investment professionals having experience in both financial and operational roles within lower middle market companies, we possess a deep understanding of the challenges that management encounters, which is often beyond the reach of investors with only board-level experience. Meet our team.

We prioritize direct collaboration with our management partners as peers, rather than taking a controlling stance, and we provide significant support through our advanced financial and data analytics capabilities. We recognize that lower middle market companies often lack access to this level of analytical support for optimizing business operations, which allows TPC to add substantial value to our partnerships. By working closely with management, TPC has a track record of growing every business we invest in, fostering the development of sustainable, market-leading businesses.

Sticking to our roots

As the sole licensed Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) fund manager in Mississippi and Oklahoma, we are dedicated to fostering economic growth and providing flexible financing solutions to businesses in our state and beyond. TPC’s mission is to invest in and support the growth of businesses across the Southeast and Southwest, empowering entrepreneurs and driving economic development in our region.

Advantages of financing with Twain Private Credit

Speed to Close

TPC’s SBIC lending offers significant advantages over traditional bank loans. One of the key benefits is the speed of approval and funding. Unlike banks, which often have lengthy approval processes, TPC can expedite loan approvals and closings, providing businesses with the capital they need more quickly.

Greater Flexibility

Additionally, TPC’s SBIC financing provides greater flexibility and less restrictive terms compared to banks, especially in the current macroeconomic environment. Banks may face challenges such as higher interest rates, deposit flight, and increased regulatory burden, leading to more stringent lending criteria and less favorable terms for borrowers.

Patient Capital

With TPC, businesses can access financing that is not only faster but also more adaptable to their needs. Our SBIC lending approach allows us to offer more patient capital, longer repayment terms, and tailored solutions, empowering businesses to focus on growth rather than short-term financial constraints.

Focus on Underserved Communities

Additionally, TPC is committed to serving businesses in underserved communities, where traditional bank lending may be limited. By providing accessible financing options and personalized support, we aim to drive economic development and growth in these regions, benefiting both businesses and local economies.
